Jim Gorman

Jim GormanJim has extraordinary background and experience in the tennis world. He has been a head pro for 31 years, coaching professional, college, and high school tennis players. Another facet of Jim's expertise lies in the sports vision-training program that he innovated for professional and amateur athletes. This included work with the San Francisco 49ers, Houston Astros, and several internationally ranked tennis professionals. Currently, Jim is writing a book on tennis and is involved in research to write and produce books and videos that explain his in-depth, unique approach to improving hand-eye coordination and depth perception through proper vision techniques. Jim has said, "I will continue coaching until I find a better job, and since there is no better job, tennis has become a life-long occupation," which truly embodies his passion for the game.

Allison Aubrey

Allison AubreyAllison graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in the Fall of 2012 with a B.A. in English and an elementary teaching credential. She moved up to Varsity doubles as a freshman and continued to play three years of Varsity singles and played two years on the Cal Poly Traveling Club Team. This will be Allison's seventh year working at Coach Gorman's clinics. She spent the year long-term subbing in a 6th grade classroom and is currently training for her third marathon.

Michael DePass

Michael DePassMichael graduated from Henry M. Gunn High School in 2012 and is a sophomore at UC Davis. He began attending Coach Gorman's clinics at the age of thirteen and went on to play for the Varsity team during his Junior and Senior years. Michael worked as an instructor for group-oriented clinics for two years and also conducted private lessons. Michael enjoys performing magic, playing soccer, learning guitar, and making homemade ice cream.

Laura Kidder

Laura KidderLaura is a sophomore in the School of Management at Boston University. She was on the Gunn Tennis Team for all four years of high school. She and her doubles partner won first place in the SCVAL El Camino Division her sophomore year. This is her second year working at Coach Gorman's Summer Tennis Camp. Two years ago, she also worked at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. Laura enjoys watching NCIS, Spartan Races, Jamba Juice, and playing with her two dogs.
